If by this "RED wave form in the Audio Level Meter responding to pushed Keys" you mean a red square or a red line or both, then they indicate MIDI activity on the track and the velocity of MIDI notes respectively. check out Kenny Gioia's great video series: ,.get the excellent User Guide by Nicholas too: ,.You'll find many helpful people here and a lot of useful information. Hello musterion1973 and welcome to these forums. does anyone know how to get the Alesis Q49 Midi Controler to Work and Can you recommend a VST company I should buy VST plugins for since Reaper includes None? thank you in advance. I thought that reaper would have come with a VST plugin but I see the ones from Cakewalk in the VST list so I open Dimension Pro.Nope. I see it in the list but No Audible Signal is detected though I do see RED wave form in the Audio Level Meter responding to pushed Keys. by use of Both or one or the other, Reaper does detect the Q49. the Alesis Q49 Midi Controller has USB and Midi. I even purchased a Audio Interface with midi cables so I could use the Midi Controller. well, I can not get the Alesis Q49 Midi Controller to Work. I use Cakewalk Sonar Platinum and functions but at times I have to fight really hard to get things to work on it (it is no longer a DAW that is supported or functions stable) Thus I purchased Reaper thinking it would be better. I did the search Forums and found absolutely nothing pertaining to my issue exactly. ![]()
